Tom Says

“The new exterior design is a lot easier on the eye and I can see this being a popular choice as a company car. You certainly get a lot of kit as standard, and that’s what a lot of drivers look for. The entry-level model delivers more than enough performance for me, so that’s the one I’d opt for.”

Nicola Says

“Unlike the two old bores, I love a drift mode and a bit of paddle shift action. I loved my long-term GV60 and the facelift model addresses all the weak points of the original. The manual battery conditioning feature is a game-changer because it unlocks that super-fast charging.”

Will there be a smaller battery available?

Genesis has no plans to offer the GV60 with the same smaller battery (58kWh) that can be specified in the Hyundai IONIQ 5. All GV60 models are equipped with a 77.4kWh pack with a usable capacity of around 72.5kWh.

Where can I buy a GV60?

Genesis won't have traditional dealers in the way Hyundai and Kia currently does. It will operate brand centres in popular locations where potential buyers can test the car and speak with a Genesis expert who can guide them through the order process. Tesla operates a similar system.

How long does it take to charge a Genesis GV60?

The GV60 has the same ultra-rapid charging system as its Hyundai IONIQ 5 and Kia EV6 stablemates. That means it can charge at up to 225kW on a suitable charger. In terms of time, the GV60 can charge from 10-80% in under 20 minutes when connected to a 350kW charger.

Should I order the digital mirrors?

If you adore gadgets and want something a bit different then the optional digital mirrors are certainly a talking point. In reality, they don't offer a lot more than a traditional glass mirror and getting used to looking at the screen rather than the camera takes some getting used to. We'd advise that you try before you buy.

What is the real world range of the GV60?

The official WLTP range figure for the Sport Plus version is 289 miles. During our test drive, we averaged 3.0 miles per kWh, which would give a full range of around 220 miles. However, if you get trigger-happy with the energy-sapping Boost button, expect that range figure to drop.
